Meet the Coach
Margaret Butler
We all want our kids to thrive—to feel confident, connected, and like they truly belong. For many of us, sports have become the way we try to give them that. We sign them up hoping they’ll build resilience, find a community, stay out of trouble, and maybe even fall in love with the process. But deep down, we know it’s about so much more than wins and stats. It’s about helping our daughters develop the life skills that will carry them far beyond the field, court, or track. The truth is, sports are an empty vessel unless we teach them how to grow through it.
That’s where Margaret Butler comes in. She’s a certified mental performance coach and the founder of LEAP Mental Performance. A mother, educator, coach, and former elite athlete who represented Canada on the world stage in track and cross-country, Margaret brings over 20 years of experience leading female empowerment initiatives—including founding Komera and AMPLIFY Girls. Through LEAP, she now partners with parents and coaches to support the next generation of female athletes—not just in sport, but in life.
